Now in our 12th year, the Todos Santos Writers Workshop spreads its wings from Baja to the Seine this spring, launching our third annual Todos Paris Workshop May 18 - 24, 2025 (More about TSWW here)
Our Parisian HQ is a sublime loft in the heart of the Marais, an historic district bustling with shops, cafés, and local color. Limited to 6 participants each, and led by Jeanne McCulloch (memoir) and Karen Karbo (fiction), the two classes will feature instruction, individual attention, literary discussion, exchange of ideas, and comràderie, all designed to push your work forward with optimal, supportive feedback in an inspiring setting. Open to writers at all levels, we're here to meet you where you are in your project.
FACULTY
- In addition to being a memoirist, JEANNE McCULLOCH served as managing editor of The Paris Review for ten years and is a member of the distntguished literary journal's board of directors.
- KAREN KARBO is the author of fourteen award-winning novels, memoirs and works of non-fiction including the best-selling “Kick Ass Women” series.
OVERVIEW:
Workshops meet daily at TSWW’s Paris HQ from 9:30 AM - 1 PM. Coffee, tea, and croissants will be in plentiful supply.
Jeanne and Karen will both hold individual conferences with each participant on the final day of the session.
Evening Apéro & Craft: Guest speakers are American writers living and working in France who join us on two evenings for drinks and bites. Please feel free to invite along a plus one (or two).

Paris-based author JAKE LAMAR is the author of a memoir, seven novels, numerous essays, reviews and short stories, and a play.

His most recent work, Viper's Dream, is both a crime novel and an audio drama, set in the jazz world of Harlem between 1936 and 1961. He grew up in the Bronx, New York, graduated from Harvard University, and spent six years writing for Time magazine. Moving to Paris in 1993, he teaches creative writing at one of France's top universities, Sciences Po. More at https://jakelamar.com

She hosts the award-winning podcast “The Green Dream,” focused on sustainability and human rights. She wrote the screenplay for Salvatore: Shoemaker of Dreams, a feature documentary directed by Luca Guadagnino, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2020. More at https://www.danathomas.com
