Join us in Paris this Spring, May  2025 (dates TBA). Memoir, Fiction & Personal Narrative Workshop with Jeanne McCulloch and Karen Karbo

Now in our 12th year, the Todos Santos Writers Workshop spreads its wings from Baja to the Seine this spring, launching our third annual Paris workshop in May 2025 (dates TBA). More about TSWW here.

Our Parisian HQ is a sublime loft in the heart of the Marais, an historic district bustling with shops, cafés, and local color.

Limited to 10 participants, and led by Jeanne McCulloch and Karen Karbo, the workshop is devoted to personal narrative writing—this includes memoir/personal essay, as well as fiction based on personal experience—the term du jour for the latter being “auto fiction” but we avoid such buzz words or slogans, as everyone’s work is different, their goals are different, and we’re here to meet you where you are in your project.

The workshop will feature instrruction, individual attention, literary discussion, exchange of ideas, and comràderie, all designed to push your work forward with optimal feedback in an inspring setting.

OVERVIEW:
Workshop meets daily at TSWW’s Paris HQ from 9:30 AM - 1 PM. Coffee, tea, and croissants will be in plentiful supply.

Evening Apéro and Craft: Guest speakers are American writers living and working in France who join us on two evenings for drinks and bites. Please feel free to invite along a plus one (or two). Guest speaker in past sessions have included Tom Lutz, founder and longtime editor the Los Angeles Review of Books, author of fiction and non-fiction books, and Laurie Winer, also a founding editor at the Los Angeles Review of Books, theater critic for the Wall Street Journal and the Los Angeles Times, and author of Oscar Hammerstein II and the Invention of the Musical.

Jeanne and Karen will both hold individual conferences with each participant on the final day of the session.
